An endlessly entertaining James Bond alternative dominates the top two places in the Netflix movie charts. Another movie from the same universe is available to stream from the competition
Beware of tailors. At least that’s true in the world of King’s Man, where an elite organization of British agents hides under the guise of a prestigious clothing store. The first two parts, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle, hold the top spots in the Netflix charts. There is also a prequel to the dirty James Bond replacement to stream.
The Netflix competition has part 3 of the Kingsman series
The protagonist of the first two Kingsman parts is the young Eggsy (Taron Egerton), who works his way up from a desperate small-time crook to a laid-back agent. The franchise, which is much bloodier and more raunchy than the James Bond series, found many fans from 2014 onwards. The franchise now consists of various other filmed or planned parts.
Netflix competitor Disney+ offers the prequel The King’s Man – The Beginning for streaming. As the third part of the series, it is set in the First World War, during which the aristocrat Orlando Oxford (Ralph Fiennes) founds the eponymous agent organization

2024, the spin-off Argylle was also released in cinemas, with which a crossover is planned for the future. The spin-off is available to buy on Apple TV+. The two films The Kingsman: The Blue Blood and The Kingsman: The Traitor King are also in development, as is the series Statesman. It will revolve around the US equivalent of the spies loyal to the king.
There are no exact start dates for any of the three planned projects as yet. Moreover, there has been no new information on the development status of some of them for several years. That doesn’t necessarily mean that they won’t happen: Director Matthew Vaughn is now notorious for his busy schedule.
