When Dahmer – Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer was released on Netflix in 2022, the true crime series became a huge hit for the streaming service. The production topped off the modern hype surrounding the genre and became one of the most streamed series for Netflix in recent years.
The sequel is coming soon, once again based on a real case. The first teaser for Monster: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez has now been released, which also reveals that the new series from creator Ryan Murphy will launch on Netflix on September 19, 2024.

The plot of Monster: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez revolves around the titular brothers (Cooper Koch and Nicholas Alexander Chavez) who murdered their parents (Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny) in 1989. Just like Dahmer, the new series is based on a real story that took place in the USA at the time.
The first teaser doesn’t show much yet. However, anyone who has seen Dahmer can imagine how dark and abysmal the upcoming Netflix sequel is likely to be.
