Yellowstone is to continue after season 5 after all, and not just as a spin-off. Kevin Costner will not be returning, but his successors have already been confirmed
The western series Yellowstone continues. No, not just as another spin-off, but with the Paramount Network’s main series, which was supposed to end after the second half of season 5.
Paramount pulled the plug after the end of the first half of the season and then sent another spin-off called The Madison into the works. According to TVLine, the company has now changed its mind and is also allowing the main series to continue. Contracts are currently being negotiated
Yeehaw! Yellowstone will continue with a 6th season after all
However, there is less good news for Yellowstone fans: Kevin Costner will not be returning as the Dutton patriarch (for now?). The actor and filmmaker, who has fallen out with the format, is busy with his own western movie saga Horizon anyway. However, the main characters of the future season(s) have already been confirmed.
Right guess: Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser will continue as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler. It was actually thought they would appear as supporting or main characters in The Madison. Now things have changed and they are allowed to continue their Dutton family saga under the original title of the parent series
When will Yellowstone continue?
For now, however, season 5B of Yellowstone is on the program schedule, which is scheduled to start on November 10, 2024 on the Paramount Network in the States and in Germany via AXN Black.
