While Alien: Romulus thrills on the big screen, the first series from the legendary sci-fi franchise announces itself with a dark teaser trailer

We’ve known since 2019 that an Alien series is in development. Five years later, we have the first moving images that give us an insight into the project. It may only be a 15-second teaser, but it perfectly sums up the premise of the highly anticipated sci-fi adventure.

The deadliest creature in the universe has set its sights on a small blue planet sitting innocently in the darkness of space. Earth is reflected in the acid-slobbering face of a shiny metallic xenomorph. Welcome to the gruesome future vision of Alien: Earth!

In addition to the teaser, the plot of the series was also revealed. In Alien: Earth, we follow a young woman named Wendy who makes an extremely disturbing discovery with a group of soldiers: a mysterious spaceship has crashed on Earth. I wonder what’s inside? You can probably guess.

Sydney Chandler leads the cast of Alien: Earth. So far, she has only appeared in the abysmal sci-fi thriller Don’t Worry Darling. She has considerably more experience in series. In Pistol, she played music legend and Pretenders founder Chrissie Hynde, not to mention a supporting role in John Sugar.

Behind the camera, meanwhile, is an absolute series expert who has already created several acclaimed adaptations: Noah Hawley. He first amazed audiences with Fargo and later with the Marvel adaptation Legion, a wacky answer to the X-Men films. His Alien series is set around 30 years before the original with Sigourney Weaver.
