Gripping thriller series on Netflix will make you question your sanity: the story is overflowing with twists

With How to Get Away with Murder, Netflix presents a breathless thriller series in which you can trust no one – least of all your own perception.

In Netflix’s mystery thriller How to Get Away with Murder, your wits are put to the test. No sooner do you feel like you’ve figured out the dark secret of Annalise Keating and her five students than the next flashback comes along – and with it the next twist that changes everything. And that for 6 seasons and 90 episodes.

This is what How to get away with Murder on Netflix is all about

Law professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) selects five promising students each year. The so-called “Keating Five” enjoy the privilege of helping her defend her clients. In this way, they can prove their skills in the legal arena.

Shortly afterwards, a young student disappears from her university and the trail leads to none other than Annalise Keating herself. The Keating Five soon realize that the line between right and wrong is not as easy to discern as they thought.

Whoever gets involved in this murder mystery series embarks on a fast-paced search for clues in which nothing is as it seems. Because it’s not just Annalise Keating who has her dark side – her protégés also have a lot to hide.

6 seasons long, one twist follows the next mercilessly – and the cast shines throughout

With casual elegance, the plot jumps between present and past, giving the audience a constantly expanding perspective. This dizzying back and forth often raises more questions than answers. If you want to solve the puzzle, you have to show the courage to flashback.

The Keating Five and their opaque mentor form the heart of the series: five characters from different backgrounds and with different motivations who want to prove themselves to Keating and end up on the wrong moral and legal track in the process. Oscar winner Viola Davis (The Woman King, Suicide Squad) in particular delivers an outstanding performance as the charismatic law professor.

The rest of the energetic ensemble also manages to embody the snarky love-hate relationship between Keating’s protégés with playful ease. The contrasts between the main characters, such as the good-natured Wes (Alfred Enoch) and the wonderfully confrontational Michaela (Aja Naomi King), are a lot of fun.
