Amazon Prime Video won’t keep fans of the romantic drama Culpa Mia waiting long for the sequel. Culpa Tuya is coming this year, as the teaser trailer proves
It’s not often that we get two films from a series in the same year. However, after the resounding success of Culpa Mia, Amazon Prime Video knew that fans wanted nothing more than a sequel to the story. A few months later, part 2 has now been announced.
Culpa Tuya – Your Debt is the title of the next chapter in the Culpa saga, which is based on the novel of the same name by Mercedes Ron. It tells the gripping love story between Noah and Nick, who want to stay together forever despite all odds. The teaser trailer hints at what happens next
Teaser trailer for Culpa Tuya: The next installment of the Amazon hit will be even more dramatic than Culpa Mia
In Culpa Tuya – Deine Schuld, the love between Noah (Nicole Wallace) and Nick (Gabriel Guevara) is once again put to the test. No method is too shabby for their parents to drive a wedge between their young, blossoming love. But it’s not just his parents who cause problems.
Nick wants to find his own place in life and has a lot on his plate with his job. Meanwhile, an exciting chapter begins for Noah: as a college student, she gets to know the world from a new perspective – including unexpected temptations. What’s more, Nick’s vengeful ex-girlfriend suddenly makes a comeback.
The Culpa series on Amazon Prime: From Wattpad sensation to record-breaking streaming high-flyer
With Culpa Tuya, we have reached the middle section of Ron’s original. The Argentinian author has published three novels in total. These were first published as e-books on the online platform Wattpad. It was only later that Penguin Random House took over publication in the traditional setting.
The Culpa series has had a similar success story to Fifty Shades of Grey. What started out as Twilight fan fiction turned into a bestseller phenomenon before the Hollywood film adaptation followed. The difference: while Fifty Shades of Grey was released in cinemas, Amazon’s Culpa films are streaming exclusives.
In June, Amazon even unveiled a record: a few weeks after its launch, Culpa Mia was declared the most successful non-English-language original film ever released by the streamer. This places the Culpa debut even ahead of international hits such as Marina and the Murderers and Argentina, 1985.
