The second season of Wednesday is announced with a video that takes us behind the scenes of the Netflix hit. Among those seen are leading actress Jenna Ortega and director Tim Burton.
We’ve been waiting a long time for a sign of life from Wednesday’s second season. Now we finally have the first moving images. These are not yet from the new episodes, but at least from the filming. Netflix released a short behind-the-scenes video as part of its Geeked Week 2024.
The video focuses on the return to Nevermore Academy, where many familiar faces from the debut round are gathered to get the sequel off the ground, led by leading actress Jenna Ortega. Emma Myers is also back. As Enid Sinclair, she played one of the most important supporting roles in the first season.

The video doesn’t reveal exactly what the second season is about. We mainly get to see a few random shots that capture the mood on set and hint at some exciting developments. The new episodes will be “bigger and crazier than you could ever imagine,” the preview says.
Between cameras and clapperboards, the cold hand even creeps through the picture for a moment while Tim Burton fulfills his duties in the director’s chair. After about a minute, it’s over. “If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed, and I’m not that generous,” says Ortega.
