Amazon’s popular comedy show LOL: Last One Laughing is now releasing a Halloween special – a week and a half before the actual spooky festival.
Which stars are in Amazon’s LOL Halloween special – and what’s different?
The principle of the LOL show remains the same, even on Halloween: several German comedians and celebrities are locked in a room and are not allowed to laugh for the next few hours. At the same time, they have to try to make the others present grin, smirk or laugh. The first trailer already promised a fireworks display of gags.

Last One Laughing is hosted as usual by Michael Herbig. The 4 biggest changes in the LOL Halloween Special, compared to the main series, include the following points:
Unlike the LOL main series, the Halloween special is a pairs exercise: the stars compete in pairs and if one of them laughs, both are out (this was also the case in the LOL Xmas Special).
The show takes place over 3 to 6 hours, which amounts to 3 half-hour episodes in the end.
In this abbreviated format, only 8 instead of 10 participants will compete.
In keeping with the Halloween theme, there will be new eerie sounds when the rounds start or someone is caught laughing, and the room will also be decorated as a creepy backdrop.
The LOL Halloween cast was already announced two months ago and includes numerous famous names, introducing not only LOL returnees but also many newcomers such as celebrity twins and a German singer:
Mirja Boes and Torsten Sträter
Palina Rojinski and Olaf Schubert
Annette Frier and Sasha
Bill Kaulitz and Tom Kaulitz
