Fantasy hit Wednesday returns on Netflix with a second season. You can find all the information about the series sequel with Jenna Ortega here.

The first season of Wednesday became a mega-hit on Netflix in the fall of 2022. With 252.1 million views within the first 91 days of release, the series holds the title of the most-streamed English-language Netflix series of all time, according to Netflix. It’s no wonder, then, that the horror hit starring Jenna Ortega has gathered a loyal fan base that is eagerly awaiting season 2. The sequel is, of course, already in the works.

We’ll keep you updated on all developments regarding season 2 here. You can read everything you need to know about the start, cast and story of the Wednesday sequel here.

When and where does Wednesday season 2 start?

After Wednesday was also affected by the writers’ and actors’ strikes in Hollywood, the production of the second season was massively delayed. It did not start filming until the end of April 2024 in Ireland, where, according to Variety, it is set to be the largest production ever undertaken in Ireland.

Since the production of the first season took about half a year, a similar schedule can be expected for the second season. In mid-August, Jenna Ortega told E.T. that the first four episodes had been completed. However, filming is expected to continue until November 2024.

Wednesday is scheduled to return to your screens in 2025. An exact date has not yet been announced. However, the new episodes will be shown on Netflix, as was the case with the first season.
