The official release date of Spider-Man 4 with Tom Holland has been set. Particularly exciting: the hotly anticipated Marvel sequel is coming just a few weeks after the next Avengers movie.
We have known about the release of the next Avengers films for a long time. But what about Spider-Man 4? It is no longer a secret that the movie is coming. Nevertheless, Sony has taken a surprisingly long time to announce a specific release date for the Marvel sequel.
But now we have certainty.
When does Spider-Man 4 with Tom Holland start?
As Variety reports, Spider-Man 4 will be released in theaters on July 24, 2026. For the time being, this is only the US release date. However, it can be assumed that the film will be released in Germany soon after. Maybe even a few days earlier, as has been the case with various Marvel blockbusters in the past.
The timing of the theatrical release is particularly sensational because of one thing: the film is released only three months after Avengers: Doomsday – that is, the return of Robert Downey Jr. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This time, however, he does not play Iron Man, but the eponymous villain: Doctor Doom.
This should create a very interesting tension. Not least because Tony Stark, previously played by Downey Jr., acted as Peter Parker’s mentor in the previous MCU films. Tony was there when Peter was captured. Peter was there when Tony sacrificed himself for the universe in the fight against Thanos.
How will young Peter Parker feel when he finds out in Avengers: Doomsday that the face he trusts suddenly belongs to someone who wants to destroy the world? Spider-Man 4, which is released in theaters after the fifth Avengers adventure, occupies an extremely exciting position in the MCU timeline.
