Life Is Strange: Double Exposure revolves around Max Caulfield, a young photographer and artist who teaches photography classes at Caledon University. When her friend Safi is brutally murdered there, Max uses the mysterious powers she has long neglected: she can manipulate time. And wants to prevent Safi’s death. But things turn out differently than you think.

Max is an old acquaintance for Life Is Strange fans from the very beginning: players already slipped into her body in the first part of the mystery series in 2015. Back then, too, tragic events had to be prevented by changing time.

Double Exposure is the fourth installment of the series. Max Caulfield returns, but the game turns over a new leaf in her life: several years have passed, she is in the prime of her life and has followed her passion for photography. Her favorite subjects include, in particular, so-called “lost places,” or abandoned places.
Max’s first point of contact on campus is her best friend Safi, a young poet. During the course of the game, she will also get to know the astrophysics student Moses better and better.
What’s new in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure?
Where fans in the first Life Is Strange could still turn back time, in Double Exposure they switch to a parallel time strand in which Safi is still alive. But here, too, a murderer is at large. So Max’s goal must be to undo the murder of her friend in one reality and prevent it in the other reality.
Max now has new abilities. In Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, you can transport and exchange items between the time strands. In addition, the change is exciting with regard to the characters: someone who is hostile to you in one reality may be friendly to you in the other.
