Filming is currently underway for the highly anticipated Peaky Blinders movie from Netflix. Now a new image has been revealed showing one of the most exciting new additions.
After six seasons, the story of Peaky Blinders – Gangs of Birmingham will continue in the form of a feature-length film. It will be led by Cillian Murphy, the freshly washed Oscar winner from Oppenheimer. Before he became the inventor of the atomic bomb, he starred in the gangster series for 36 episodes.
The Peaky Blinders movie doesn’t just feature familiar faces, though. In recent weeks, thanks to various casting reports, a few extremely exciting new additions have also been leaked. The most exciting: Barry Keoghan. Hardly any other actor fits into the Peaky Blinders universe as perfectly as he does.

Movie fans have likely been familiar with Keoghan since 2017. He first played a disturbing role in the drama The Killing of a Sacred Deer by Yorgos Lanthimos. He then fought for survival in Christopher Nolan’s nerve-wracking war film Dunkirk. He played other memorable supporting roles in The Green Knight and The Banshees of Inisherin.
Keoghan has carved out a particular niche for himself in Hollywood. He is excellent at playing shady characters who can’t be trusted. Nevertheless, they haunt you. Again and again, there are unpleasant encounters that feel like a psychological duel or a power play. The best example? Saltburn.
In other words, Keoghan is a mesmerizing presence, no matter what movie he’s in. It’s no wonder that he’s already been cast as a villain by both Marvel and DC. In Eternals, he brought the renegade Druig to life. In The Batman, he makes a brief appearance as the Joker in Arkham at the end.
