A new Toy Story movie is scheduled to be released in theaters the year after next. Now a new concept image has emerged that teases the story – and it sounds pretty dark.
For most Toy Story fans, Part 3 was the perfect conclusion to the popular Pixar series. Nevertheless, a fourth film called A Toy Story: Everything Stops at No Command was released in 2019, which grossed over a billion dollars at global box offices. It was therefore not very surprising when Disney announced a fifth Toy Story film at the beginning of 2023.
As part of the current D23 trade fair in Brazil, a new concept image for the sequel was unveiled, teasing a story detail. Apparently, Toy Story 5 will be quite dark at times.

According to Screen Rant, Pixar revealed at D23 that Toy Story 5 will feature an armada of the iconic astronaut toys that were rejected due to production errors. Apparently, the discarded models will be abandoned somewhere in the wild. It is not yet known how this dark storyline will be linked to Andy, Woody & Co.
