An action thriller is currently almost at the top of the Netflix movie top 10. In it, a CIA newcomer driven by revenge must avert nothing less than World War III.
The festive season has already arrived at Netflix. The streaming provider’s movie charts are currently full of Christmas films such as Our Little Secret with Lindsay Lohan and A Royal Date for Christmas.
But in between, there are still some not-so-Christmas-like action films like John Wick or American Assassin. The latter is currently ranked second in Netflix’s top 10 films.

In the film by director Michael Cuesta, student Mitch Rapp (Dylan O’Brien) must watch as his girlfriend falls victim to a terrorist attack while on vacation. When he wants to take revenge, he is recruited by the CIA and trained by veteran Stan Hurley (Michael Keaton) to become a super agent.

As an anti-terrorism specialist, he must prevent an agent in the Middle East from triggering an escalation that would in turn lead to World War III.
