As Dr. Grace Sawyer, Ali Larter quickly became a fan favorite in The Rookie. However, she has no interest in returning to the cop series.
The series The Rookie quickly became a hit in 2018 and the triumphal march seems unstoppable. In the second season, Dr. Grace Sawyer was introduced as a character who was originally supposed to appear in two episodes. However, the popularity of the character, played by Ali Larter, ensured that she was allowed to appear in a total of 13 episodes. A return of the character would be desirable for many fans, but the actress has rejected this hope.
The Rookie star Ali Larter is busy with another series
Meanwhile, Ali Larter plays the lead role in Landman alongside Billy Bob Thornton. The series is filmed in Texas, which has given the actress a new perspective. In a recent interview with MovieWeb, she talked about her new series and her experiences with The Rookie. In doing so, she made it clear that a return to the latter is not very interesting for her:
It’s interesting, you know, since we left Hollywood, the idea of wanting to work in that kind of television is no longer so tempting for me. It was really great to work in Texas [for Landman] and do something very special.
At the same time, she is happy about the experience she had working on The Rookie and working with Nathan Fillion.
Landman is the new series from Taylor Sheridan, who previously landed a big hit with Yellowstone. The new drama series is about the oil trade in modern Texas. Crisis manager Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) has to navigate his way through various complex problems. At the same time, he takes care of his 17-year-old daughter Ainsley (Michelle Randolph), whose mother Angela (Ali Larter) he is divorced from.
