When is Stranger Things season 5 coming to Netflix?
The fifth season of Stranger Things suffered massively from the Hollywood double strike that paralyzed almost the entire industry in 2023. Production of the new episodes could not begin until January 8, 2024. Since the final eight episodes are each supposed to be about as long as eight feature films, the shooting will also take a correspondingly long time. The shooting was completed in December 2024.
After that, extensive post-production is to be expected, so that we can only expect the 5th season of Stranger Things on Netflix in the course of 2025. Since the 4th season of Stranger Things was served to us in two parts by the streamer, the eight episodes of season 5 will probably not appear all at once.
Stranger Things season 5 takes place after a time jump: This is the plot we know
Since the teenage cast around Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard and Co. are aging faster than their characters, the Duffer brothers, Matt and Ross Duffer, decided to have the 5th season of Stranger Things take place after a time jump. After initial indications suggested a time jump of 3.5 years, it has now been confirmed that it will be a year and a half. So the final episodes will be set in the fall of 1987, about four years after the events of season 1.
After it was already revealed via an X-Post from the writers that the first episode will be titled “The Crawl”, the titles of all eight episodes were released in a first teaser. Accordingly, the episode titles are:

The first scene of the first episode will possibly begin with a flashback of Will Byers in the Upside Down.

Despite numerous fan protests against the return of Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn), who died in the season 4 finale, the series creators have decided, for better or worse, that he will not return. Also, fan favorite Argyle was not allowed to return.
Is there a trailer for Stranger Things Season 5?
Since filming for Season 5 has not yet been completed, we may have to wait until early 2025 for an official trailer. However, Netflix has already released a touching first behind-the-scenes video of the cast on the set of the season, which brought back Harry Potter memories for us.
