Is Andrew Garfield returning as Peter Parker No. 3 in Spider-Man 4? In a new interview, the actor talks about the current state of affairs.
It has been more than three years since Spider-Man: No Way Home tore down the boundaries of the multiverse and brought back beloved Marvel characters from completely different movie worlds, most notably the Peter Parkers of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Since then, fans have been wondering when we will see the two of them again.
To date, no further reunion has been officially announced. However, one film that would be perfect for the next big cameo parade has already been decided: Spider-Man 4. This year, filming is scheduled to begin on the highly anticipated sequel to the multiverse hit. Garfield is now talking about his possible involvement.

GQ has published a profile on the actor, who can be seen on the big screen from next week in the love drama We Live in Time, alongside Florence Pugh. In this context, the rumors regarding Garfield’s casting in Spider-Man 4 were also addressed. “I’m going to have to disappoint you,” said Garfield.
So far, he has not signed anything that would bring him anywhere near Spider-Man 4.

At the same time, Garfield adds: “I realize, though, that no one will believe any of what I say.” He is referring to the many little lies he told in countless interviews in advance of the theatrical release of Spider-Man: No Way Home in order to avoid revealing his secretly filmed appearance.
At this point, we probably can’t really believe a single word Garfield says about Spider-Man and Marvel. However, he is by no means the only star who has had to talk his way into trouble in the past so as not to spoil the surprise for fans.
