Netflix is going all out on the first weekend of the new year by adding one of the biggest action blockbusters of the past season to its program. You can also stream the first three parts of the series.
A little more than half a year after its theatrical release, Bad Boys: Ride or Die is available on Netflix’s streaming subscription. The fourth installment of the popular action series, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, grossed over $400 million at the box office and delivers two hours of adrenaline.
Bad Boys 4 new on Netflix: entertaining action fireworks with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence
In 1995, the first Bad Boys movie hit the theaters and became a huge success. Eight years later, Smith and Lawrence returned to the streets of Miami. After that, however, the series was surprisingly dormant for a long time. It wasn’t until 2020 that the unrestrained mayhem was revived with Bad Boys For Life.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die ties in with this revival. Someone is trying to tarnish the legacy of Captain Conrad Howard (Joe Pantoliano). Allegedly, the boss of Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) is involved in shady dealings. The detectives sense a conspiracy.

It doesn’t take long before Mike and Marcus are on the run from their own people. This brings a highly amusing and entertaining dynamic to the series – not least because the two of them still haven’t learned to ask the questions before they go into battle. The Bad Boys series continues in utter chaos.
However, it is not only chaos that gives the fourth part a pulse. Another element that has accompanied Bad Boys since their return to the big screen four years ago is the struggle with age. Mike and Marcus are not getting any younger and are toying with the idea of retirement – a quiet life with their friends and family.
Contrary to the vulgar action orgy that is at the heart of every Bad Boys adventure, the images, flooded with glowing sunlight, take on a melancholy touch that puts the ostentatiously staged violence in perspective with its consequences. It can’t go on forever, but for now there’s no time to catch your breath.
You can now watch how the Bad Boys series has developed over the years on Netflix. While only the first three parts were previously available on the streaming subscription service, nothing stands in the way of a complete binge marathon now.
