Sci-fi horror fans had to wait seven years, but in 2024 the time had come: Alien: Romulus finally continued the beloved series last year. But for those who couldn’t see the movie in the theater or were waiting for a streaming launch anyway, there’s only a few more days to go.
Then the sci-fi horror Alien: Romulus will start on Disney+.
As can be seen from a press release, Alien: Romulus will start on Disney+ as early as January 15, 2025. This means that the film will be released on streaming subscription exactly five months after its German theatrical release.

Alien: Romulus revolves around the young Rain (Cailee Spaeny), who, together with her friends, seeks to leave her bleak home planet. To do so, they want to loot an abandoned Weyland Yutani Corporation space station in orbit. But in the depths of the complex, they encounter a gruesome monster.
The sci-fi horror film by Fede Álvarez (Don’t Breathe) is the seventh film in the Alien series. The most recent films to be released in theaters were the prequels Prometheus and Alien: Covenant. Romulus, on the other hand, is set between the first two films in the original series.
Alien: Romulus was a box-office success and led to the announcement of at least one more Alien movie. In addition, the sci-fi horror series Alien: Earth is also set to be released this year – also on Disney+.
