This is what the action flick Mission: Impossible 7 – Dead Reckoning is about.
A race around the globe begins for Ethan Hunt when a new weapon threatens all of humanity. Together with his team, Hunt tries to track down the weapon and not only has to deal with an all-powerful enemy, but also with the dark shadows of his past.
Mission: Impossible 7 invested almost 300 million, which paid off handsomely
As expected, director Christopher McQuarrie invested the gigantic 290 million US dollar budget in plenty of stunts, which Cruise of course performed himself. One of the big highlights is the spectacular motorcycle crash over the cliff. The stunt was filmed a total of six times, as you can see in the video.
With a box office result of 565 million US dollars, the seventh part was not a complete success. After all, films of this magnitude have to make at least double that, but the action franchise will come to an end with Mission: Impossible 8 – The Final Reckoning. The budget was even increased again to 400 million. Fans can look forward to even more daring stunts, during which Cruise passed out several times during filming. That’s no wonder when you look at the new trailer.
The movie finally opens in theaters in May. So it’s all the better to brush up on the knowledge with M:I7 now. Our 8kstreaming community rated it with a remarkable 7.3 out of 10 points. Film critics rate the movie even higher on Rotten Tomatoes at 96 percent. Among other things, it says:
Like a motorcycle jumping off a mountain, this movie has very high highs and very low lows… But once the action started, especially the final action set pieces, I could have started the sequel right away.
