Bill, in particular, repeatedly attracted attention with juicy anecdotes about his love life. Now Marc Eggers can be seen on Let’s Dance. Unfortunately, no one is interested in his dancing – instead, he has to deal with online hate.

Marc Eggers (38) is no stranger to TV. The blond-haired man looks back on a colorful career in the spotlight: he first rose to fame as a breakdancer on Das Supertalent in 2010, even making it to the semi-finals. After that, he tried his hand at modeling, acting in reality soaps and acting on the German TV series Köln 50667. In addition to a successful YouTube channel, Eggers has recently built up a career as a party singer at the Ballermann.

Then, in 2024, the huge surprise – Eggers is in a relationship with Tokio Hotel megastar Bill Kaulitz. This came as a complete surprise to Marc fans, because before that the Ballermann singer had only dated women. In January 2025, Kaulitz announced their separation.

At Let’s Dance, Eggers openly admits how hard this time has been for him. The 38-year-old has had to struggle with hate comments non-stop since his public relationship with Kaulitz. This flood of homophobic attacks has left its mark, as he reveals shortly before his dance: “I’ve experienced a lot of negativity on the internet in recent months because of my sexuality.”
He tried to ignore the hate, but the burden was too great: “You don’t want to admit it to yourself when it hits you so hard and you then realize how difficult it is for you.” That’s why it wasn’t easy to find his way to his sexuality with confidence: “When they say, ‘Be proud’ and you’re still so down about all the messages.”
