Tele 5 shows Daniel Radcliffe in one of his most bizarre roles. In this mixture of fantasy horror and black comedy, he has to solve a crime without becoming a demon himself.
While Emma Watson appeared in some very successful Hollywood productions after the end of Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe attracted attention with a rather interesting choice of roles. These include the comedic fantasy horror Horns, which is on TV today.
Horror-Comedy Horns with Daniel Radcliffe on TV: This is what it’s about
Wealthy Ignatius Perrish (Radcliffe) is accused of brutally murdering his great love Merrin (Juno Temple). Although he cannot be proven guilty of the crime, he is ostracized by the small town from that moment on. But one morning he wakes up with mysterious horns on his head that give him an eerie power: people around him suddenly reveal their darkest secrets to him.
With this new ability, Ignatius begins to search for his girlfriend’s real killer. But as he delves deeper into the city’s dark past, he changes both externally and internally.
Horns is an original story
After The Woman in Black, Radcliffe took on another dark role in 2013, but Horns was not quite as well received by critics and fans. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film received ratings of 41 and 49 percent, respectively. Our community, on the other hand, likes the film much better. Here, over 2,000 users give Horns an average rating of 6.6 out of 10 points. It also ranks 12th among the best fantasy films from Canada.
Our community praises the novel adaptation’s original plot, Radcliffe’s performance, and the successful genre mix that quickly draws you in. Even though the story flattens out towards the end, you’ll still be well entertained for 120 minutes. If you value an unconventional story, you should tune in, because even though the movie has its weaknesses, it still deserves more attention.
If you can’t get enough of the horror, you can look forward to the second season of The Last of Us, which finally goes online on April 14. For the impatient, there are ways to experience the story continuation right now.
