TV is not just for Marvel series. Sometimes real MCU blockbusters are on TV too. Today you can even catch one of the greatest superhero fights.

The MCU will soon continue with two spectacular superhero reunions: Avengers 5: Doomsday and Thunderbolts. On TV today, however, you can see a blockbuster of past Marvel phases.

More specifically, it’s Captain America: Civil War, in which the costumed heroes knock each other out.

Marvel blockbuster Captain America: Civil War on TV today

In Captain America: Civil War, a literal civil war breaks out between the superheroes. Captain America (Chris Evans) supports the UN resolution called the Sokovia Accords, which would no longer allow the Avengers to operate as a private organization. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) is against it. Based on their personal convictions, the vigilantes split into two sides, while a mysterious person pulls the strings from the shadows.

Among other things, this leads to a big super-scuffle at Leipzig Airport. The following Avengers are in the movie alongside Cap and Iron Man:

  • Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson)
  • Ant-Man (Paul Rudd)
  • Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen)
  • Spider-Man (Tom Holland)
  • Vision (Paul Bettany)
  • Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman)
  • Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner)
  • War Machine (Don Cheadle)
  • Falcon (Anthony Mackie)

Other roles are played by Daniel Brühl as Helmut Zemo, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, William Hurt as Thunderbolt Ross and many more. For Tom Holland, it was even his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, when he appeared as the young Spider-Man fighting alongside his mentor Tony Stark in Civil War.

With a budget of $250 million, the film by Anthony and Joe Russo grossed a whopping $1.16 billion, according to Box Office Mojo. With Infinity War and Endgame, however, they were able to exceed that by far.
When will the Marvel movie Civil War be on TV?

Captain America: Civil War will be shown on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 8:15 p.m. on ProSieben. Alternatively, you can stream the movie anytime on Disney+, where the Marvel catalog is at home.
