Shooting of the new Guy Ritchie film almost escalated: Henry Cavill saved co-star from drowning

Henry Cavill has officially retired from the role of Superman. But he still performs heroic deeds, for example on the set of Guy Ritchie’s war film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
At the beginning of the year, Henry Cavill was seen on the big screen in the self-deprecating meta-agent film Argylle. Now his next project has been announced. In The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, he leads a special unit of the British military that operates covertly behind enemy lines during the Second World War.

The film was directed by Guy Ritchie, who recently positioned the gangster series The Gentlemen on Netflix. He has already worked with Cavill on Codename U.N.C.L.E.. The new film looks like they’ve made their own version of Inglourious Basterds. Even Til Schweiger is in it

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: Henry Cavill saved co-star Alex Pettyfer from drowning

Schweiger is not the only well-known co-star to appear alongside Cavill. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare scores with an illustrious cast, from Eiza González (3 Body Problem) to Alan Ritchson (Reacher) and Henry Golding (Last Christmas). Even Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike, Stormbreaker) is part of it.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Pettyfer spoke about the filming of the movie and especially about working with Cavill. He has nothing but praise for his British colleague: “He brings a humility to the set that sweeps everyone away.” Pettyfer also reveals that Cavill saved him from drowning.

Seen it yet? Guy Ritchie’s best movie is on Netflix and there’s even a series to go with it that you probably don’t know about
Specifically, Pettyfer says:

Henry Cavill] saved me from falling off a boat. I almost drowned! So I can officially say that I was saved by Henry. And I’m very grateful to be in this movie with you.

In the trailer for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, at least one major scene was hinted at that takes place on the high seas. However, Pettyfer does not yet want to reveal exactly what the team around Ritchie filmed there.
