Gladiator star Russell Crowe seems to have found his calling as a horror priest in exorcism films. A new trailer brings happy tidings of the new Satan flick.
Oscar-winner Russell Crowe played a demon-exorcising priest in The Pope’s Exorcist just last year. However, another exorcism horror film starring him was already in the can much earlier, but is still taking until this summer to finally hit cinemas.
At least we can now see a diabolical trailer for it, which once again wants to scare us with devilish things. But as the good book says: “Fear not!”
When Russell Crowe is dealing with the devil in a horror movie
Crowe doesn’t play a real priest in the upcoming The Exorcism, strictly speaking, but an actor called Anthony Miller, who takes part in a supernatural horror film in which he plays a spiritual exorcist. In the process, his life begins to fall apart and his daughter Lee (Ryan Simpkins) wonders if he is falling back into old addictive behavior or if something sinister is going on.

Some of the characters in the trailer seem to be aware that in supposedly cursed film productions such as The Exorcist or The Omen, things can sometimes go down with the devil.
The Exorcism by directors M.A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller has been filmed since 2019 and was originally supposed to be called The Georgetown Project. However, that was before the success of The Pope’s Exorcist, to which this “new” exorcism film with meta-machinations has now been adapted in terms of marketing
