The 6th and final season of Cobra Kai will be released in three parts on Netflix from July. However, the series finale is still a long way off until 2025.
The Karate Kid series from Netflix is coming to an end, but will be celebrated in style, as the announcement trailer for the 6th and final season of Cobra Kai reveals.
Instead of being released in one go, the final season of the martial arts dramedy will be released in three parts, each with five episodes, starting this summer. The final chapter was actually supposed to come much earlier, but the Hollywood strike in 2023 got in the way.

What happens in the final season of Cobra Kai on Netflix?
The rabid karate club Cobra Kai and its villains sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove) and Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) were last defeated and driven out by Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). But the kids from Miyagi-Do still have to prove themselves at the Sekai Taikai karate world tournament in the 6th season of the series. And the opposing dojo won’t take the past defeat lying down.
Who unfortunately still hasn’t been announced or can be seen in the trailer is double Oscar winner Hilary Swank, who trained with Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) in Karate Kid IV – The Next Generation and would be the icing on the cake after all the nostalgic casting and camoes
This is how the Cobra Kai final season comes to Netflix
Part 1 from July 18, 2024 (5 episodes)
Part 2 from November 28, 2024 (5 episodes)
Part 3 sometime in 2025 (5 episodes)
Old allies and new enemies for the Netflix series
Of course, fans can expect the return of the central karate kids, such as Samantha (Mary Mouser), Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) and Robby (Tanner Buchanan). However, a very special addition has been brought in for the final season.
C.S. Lee, known from Dexter, has been cast as Korean martial arts master Kim Sung-yung, whose antagonistic granddaughter Kim Da-eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim) we have known since season 5. Is the founder of the Cobra Kai philosophy, who was thought to be dead, the true final opponent of the series in the end?
