Netflix has announced new episodes of the sci-fi adaptation 3 Body Problem. However, the good news sounds so vague that the joy is quickly dampened.
At the end of March, Netflix launched the expensive sci-fi series 3 Body Problem from Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Until now, it was not clear how the adaptation of Cixin Liu’s novel series would continue. Now Netflix has officially announced an additional 3 Body Problem episodes. Netflix extends 3 Body Problem with new episodes – but how exactly?
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the streaming service has announced new 3 Body Problem episodes to bring the sci-fi series to a conclusion. The problem is that the number of episodes or additional seasons are not specified. It is therefore unclear whether there will be a full additional season or several or just individual episodes.

It certainly doesn’t sound like Benioff and Weiss’ original epic plan of 4 seasons of 3 Body Problem. We can only hope that the disappointing final phase of Game of Thrones, after which there are still arguments about the final 8th season, will not be repeated in the Netflix series

When are the new 3 Body Problem episodes coming to Netflix?
It is not clear from the streaming provider’s statement when the new episodes of the sci-fi series will be released. Benioff and Weiss remain loyal to Netflix and have renewed their deal to write, produce and direct new series and films.
