A big TV reunion is on the horizon: Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller, the stars of Prison Break, are reuniting for a new action thriller series
Prison Break is one of the great series of the 2000s. For four seasons, we were able to follow a spectacular prison break before a final TV movie brought the story to an end – at least almost. After originally airing from 2005 to 2009, the series returned for a revival in 2017.
Now, Prison Break stars Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller are joining forces once again: As Variety reports, the well-rehearsed duo have landed another series that is currently causing quite a stir in Hollywood. Snatchback is the title of the project. It is an action thriller
In Snatchback, Prison Break lives on: New action thriller with Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller
The story of Snatchback was inspired by true events and tells the story of a team of privately hired agents who are called in whenever there is a tricky hostage situation anywhere in the world. They venture into the most dangerous places to free the innocent
The project is being developed under the umbrella of Universal TV. A specific channel where Snatchback will be broadcast has not yet been determined. However, as the series is already generating a lot of buzz, it shouldn’t be long before Snatchback finds a home in the TV and/or streaming landscape.
Scott Rosenbaum is the creative head of the project. He is listed in the Variety report as screenwriter and executive producer. His credits are impressive: he has been involved in exciting and action-packed series such as The Shield, V – The Visitors, Queen of the South and Chuck.
