In the meantime, TikTok regularly ensures that a movie becomes a mass phenomenon. This was also the case with the Spanish novel adaptation Culpa Mia – Meine Schuld last year, after the book by author Mercedes Ron sparked hype on the social network.
As the novels comprise a total of three volumes, known as the Culpables trilogy, a film sequel to the first part of Culpa Mia has already been announced. Although the date has not yet been set, an approximate start date for the sequel Culpa Tuya – Deine Schuld is known

In the plot of the adaptation, Noah (Nicole Wallace) has to leave her previous life behind and move in with her mother in California because she is newly married. At her rich stepfather’s mansion, she meets her stepbrother Nick (Gabriel Guevara), whom she immediately hates. However, the arrogant pretty boy leads a dangerous double life between gang crime and wild parties – and soon Noah finds it increasingly difficult to resist Nick.

The film by director Domingo González has clearly benefited from the hype surrounding the book series. According to Amazon, Culpa Mia landed in the top 10 in over 190 countries following its worldwide streaming release on Prime on June 8, 2023.
As a result, the Amazon press release in July 2023 came as little surprise that not only a second, but also a third part had been ordered
