Rian Johnson is filming the 3rd part of his Knives Out series with Daniel Craig for Netflix: Wake Up Dead Man. We tell you about the cast, plot, start date, trailer and more
After Rian Johnson’s crime thriller Knives Out became a hit with audiences and critics in 2019, Netflix secured the director with a 469 million deal for two more parts with private detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig). The sequel Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery became Netflix’s second whodunnit outing in 2022.
Now the third Knives Out film is going into production. We will keep you informed here with constant updates on the growing star cast, plot details, pictures and trailers as well as everything else important about the film Wake Up Dead Man – A Knives Out Mystery.
When will Knives Out 3 start on Netflix?
Since the Knives Out sequel Wake Up Dead Man has only just started its realization, it will still take a while until completion. We expect it to be released on Netflix in the course of 2025
What is the Knives Out sequel Wake Up Dead Man about?
Rian Johnson is still keeping a lid on the plot of his third crime thriller, which is sure to have many a twist in store. However, Netflix’s first teaser revealed that it will be detective Benoit Blanc’s “most dangerous case yet”. Like the two previous films Knives Out (Radiohead) and Glass Onion (The Beatles), the sequel takes its title from a song, this time by the rock band U2. It remains to be seen whether someone will actually return from the dead, as the coffin in the first video suggests.
