Exciting new Netflix thriller: Yellowstone star flees from serial killer while a paralytic drug paralyzes her body

by Tommy

A horror thriller with a thrilling concept is streaming on Netflix starting today: a young woman tries to escape her killer before his paralyzing injection takes effect.
It’s not just the newly launched series Territory that’s evoking Yellowstone feelings on Netflix this week. A true Yellowstone star is also returning to the streamer with the dark thriller Don’t Move on October 25, 2024 – to escape from a serial killer while an anesthetic slowly paralyzes her body. This is where one of the most thrilling horror launches in October is hiding.

Don’t Move starts on Netflix: Yellowstone star flees from a serial killer while paralyzed

Iris (Kelsey Asbille) has suffered a terrible loss and doesn’t know how to move on. Alone in nature, she meets Richard (Finn Wittrock). At first glance, he seems like a compassionate, good listener. At least until he takes out his syringe and injects her with a drug that will completely paralyze her in 20 minutes.

As it turns out, he is a serial killer who has already killed more than one woman. But he didn’t count on Iris’s willingness to fight. She manages to escape. However, the killer is hot on her heels and it’s only a matter of time before Iris’s body gives out on her.

If the lead actress Kelsey Asbille looks familiar to you, it’s probably because you know her from the hit series Yellowstone (seasons 1 to 3 are also on Netflix). There she plays the second most important female character in the neo-western: Kayce’s indigenous wife Monica Dutton. Asbille’s acting counterpart in Don’t Move, Finn Wittrock, can also be seen in American Horror Story or The Big Short.

Netflix survival fight with the blessing of a horror genius

Another argument in favor of watching Don’t Move on Netflix is the support of a great (horror) filmmaker who has given the project his blessing: Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Drag Me to Hell) co-produced the serial killer thriller by Brian Netto and Adam Schindler (50 States of Fright).

In addition to adrenaline-charged suspense and a creepy showdown with a murderer, Don’t Move also impresses with beautiful, almost deserted landscapes. If you’re wondering where the Netflix thriller was filmed: even though it’s set in the U.S., the shooting took place in Bulgaria’s forests.
