Yellowstone trailer reveals how mercilessly season 5 continues: the “guillotine” is already in place in episode 10

Yellowstone has returned and after the radical season 5 midseason opener, a new trailer shows us the roadmap for the remaining episodes.

Yellowstone has returned with season 5 and has also arrived in Germany in the stream. The return took place with episode 9, now there are five more episodes to reach the season finale. After it is clear how Kevin Costner was bid farewell from the series, the velvet gloves are burned and war reigns. At least that’s what a new trailer makes clear.

Yellowstone promises a season 5 finale that brutally exacts retribution

Even though the anger of Yellowstone fans can be felt, the western series has found the best possible solution for John Dutton’s farewell: a radical step that turns anger into a driving force for the characters and is likely to escalate the 5th season in the next episodes. The new season trailer after episode 9 promises just that:

Beth (Kelly Reilly) believes that her already hated brother Jamie (Wes Bentley) is responsible for her father’s fate. Which, of course, she is right about, because Jamie has more or less directly commissioned his drug addict and lover Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri) to solve his problems. To make him pay for it, Beth not only brings her husband Rip (Cole Hauser) home, but also draws her otherwise neutral brother Kayce (Luke Grimes) to her side. With a united sibling front, the adopted Dutton son is in for a real problem.

The trailer’s message, “You’ve won, Jamie, and the kingdom is yours,” could hardly be further from the truth. While Kayce has to take care of saving the threatened ranch, he is supposed to leave Jamie to Beth. However, since in the video not only Beth slaps Jamie, but also Kayce throws his brother onto his desk, the distribution of tasks does not seem to be binding. “Our heads are in the guillotine,” is how Rip describes the tricky situation in which no one is safe anymore.

An unexpected offer of help (including a blood pact) for Beth and Kayce apparently comes from the indigenous representative Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) – but at what price? When Beth threatens Sarah on the phone, it doesn’t take her long to find the person who put them in this mess. “You should be scared, I know everything,” Kayce announces ominously at the end, raising the stakes for episodes 10 to 14.
