Denzel Washington is currently starring in Gladiator 2, but he wants to retire soon. At least that’s what it sounded like. Now he has revealed plans for The Equalizer 4 and 5 (!).
Gladiator 2 star Denzel Washington is not going to quietly retire. The fact that he even wants to end his career will have come as a surprise to many fans. But just how big the final bang should be is just as unexpected: he has now revealed in an interview that the action films The Equalizer 4 and The Equalizer 5 will be among his last films.
“People love them”: Denzel Washington is shooting The Equalizer 4 and 5 for his fans
Denzel Washington told Esquire:
I told [the producers] I would do one more Equalizer, now we’re doing 4 and 5. […] People are happy with it, they love these Equalizer movies.

He said he also really liked the series, according to Washington. And that’s because the fans like it: “They want me to catch the bad guys. ‘We can’t, so you catch them!’ So I say, ”all right, I’ll catch them! Wait here, I’ll be right back!”
Officially confirmed is the work on further The Equalizer films so far not. The third part of the series, The Equalizer 3 – The Final Chapter, was traded by many conclusion. When Washington recently mentioned the last planned films of his career, there was no mention of The Equalizer 4 and 5. With two such ambitious projects, an early retirement seems out of the question.
