Laurie Metcalf, known from Roseanne and The Conners, is also on board the true crime series as Ed Gein’s mother Augusta.
The previous Monster seasons are:
Dahmer – Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer
Monster: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez
Monster Season 3 on Netflix: This is the story of serial killer Ed Gein
Ed Gein was caught in the 1950s and is considered one of the most notorious murderers in the history of crime in the United States. Only a few murders could be proven against him. What made the case so grotesque, however, was the fact that he also stole corpses from graves to make bizarre household items out of skin and bones.
Horror icons such as Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw 3-D, Norman Bates from Psycho and Buffalo Bill from The Silence of the Lambs were inspired by Gein’s actions.
