Good news for all fans of Mindful Murdering. Netflix has officially ordered Season 2 of the popular crime series. Tom Schilling returns as criminal lawyer Björn Diemel.
At the end of October, Netflix launched Mindful Murder. The film adaptation of the novel series of the same name, penned by Karsten Dusse, was very popular and remained in the streaming charts for several weeks. However, Netflix has not yet announced an extension.
Fans of the original were nervous – after all, there are four more books in which the lawyer Björn Diemel went astray. In the best Walter White manner, he eliminates opponents in order to build his own gangster empire, which has more or less involuntarily fallen into his lap.
Netflix officially confirms Mindful Killing Season 2
Netflix has just announced the good news: Mindful Murdering will definitely continue with Season 2. “Put on your best multi-purpose gloves, it’s happening again. Mindful Murdering Season 2 is confirmed,” the streaming service writes on X (formerly Twitter) and posts a picture with leading actor Tom Schilling.

The official press release states:
No, you didn’t mishear that. The little bird is telling the truth: the popular comedy crime series Mindful Murdering continues – and provides plenty of new inspiration for a mindful mindset and a healthy work-life balance. After all, no one knows more about it than Björn Diemel (Tom Schilling) – family man, mafia boss and murderer of convenience.
Netflix reveals:
Filming of the second season will start next year. Based on scripts by Doron Wisotzky, the series will again be produced by Jan Ehlert. The actors Tom Schilling, Emily Cox, Britta Hammelstein, Murathan Muslu, Peter Jordan and many more will also be back.
This makes Achtsam Morden a step ahead of 1899, the second Netflix series from the Dark creators, which came to an abrupt end two years ago after its debut. Which was especially bitter because the last episode ended with a huge cliffhanger. Achtsam Morden, on the other hand, doesn’t leave us hanging – at least for the time being.
