After Beautiful comes Beautiful: That’s what the sequel to Karoline Herfurth

Sonja (Karoline Herfurth) and Milan (Friedrich Mücke) are now separated and are trying to find a way to communicate again through family therapy. When Sonja finds out that Milan is dating other women, she is shocked and, fearing loneliness, she throws herself into the dating scene. However, she quickly realizes that she is missing something else entirely. What if she freed herself from social constraints and just did what was best for her?

Her best friend Vicky (Nora Tschirner) also finds herself in an emotional turmoil when she feels attracted to her new colleague Milan (Malick Bauer), who is currently teaching a course on toxic masculinity at the school. Is togetherness really the right relationship model for her and Franz? Meanwhile, Julie (Emilia Schüle) is beset by self-doubt again when she works as the new production manager for a TV show and is harassed by a colleague there.

Herfurth once again brings together a star German cast around Nora Tschirner (One for the Road), Emilia Schüle (High Society) and Friedrich Mücke (Texting You), joined by newcomers such as Anneke Kim Sarnau (Sweethearts), Godehard Giese (Babylon Berlin), Malick Bauer (Sam – A Saxon) and Emilia Packard. Herfurth once again wrote the screenplay together with Wunderschön co-author Monika Fäßler.

Herfurth is thus continuing her box office success, which attracted around 1.6 million viewers to German cinemas in 2022. In addition to largely positive press reviews, Wunderbar also received a strong rating of 7 out of 10 points from the Moviepilot community and was named one of the top-rated German films of 2022.
