Robber Hands: Drama about high school graduates and friends Janik and Samuel, who are put to the test during a trip to Istanbul together.
Film plot and background
Janik (Emil von Schönfels) and Samuel (Mekyas Mulugeta) come from supposedly different worlds, yet they share a deep friendship. While Janik comes from an orderly household and wants to experience something effervescent, Samuel longs for order in his disrupted life. His mother Irene is an alcoholic, a secret he guards at all costs.
They have just graduated from high school and nothing stands in the way of a trip to Istanbul together. Samuel wants to look for his unknown father there. Shortly before departure, however, Janik does something that seems unforgivable to Samuel. They start the journey anyway, but it becomes a test of their friendship.
