Netflix has dropped the official trailer for The Noel Diary, the upcoming romantic comedy starring Justin Hartley and Barrett Doss. The film will be available for streaming on November 24.
The Noel Diary trailer features Hartley as a best-selling author named Jake Turner, who returns home for Christmas following the death of his estranged mother. While staying at his childhood home, he meets Rachel, a young woman searching for her biological mother, who previously worked for Jake’s parents.
The Noel Diary is directed by Charles Shyer from screenplay he co-wrote with Rebecca Connor and David Golden. The film stars Justin Hartley, Barrett Doss, Essence Atkins, Bonnie Bedelia, and James Remar.
“When best-selling author Jake Turner returns home at Christmas to settle his estranged mother’s estate, he discovers a diary that may hold secrets of his own past and that of Rachel — an intriguing young woman on a mission of her own,” reads the logline. “Together, they embark on a journey to confront their pasts and discover a future that’s totally unexpected.”
The Noel Diary is executive produced by Hartley, Norman Stephens, and Andrew Gernhard, with Timothy O. Johnson, Stephanie Slack, and Margret H. Huddleston serving as producers.
