A Dog’s Way Home: Adventure film about Bella, a dog who one day becomes separated from her master and embarks on a dangerous journey through the wilderness to return home
Plot and Background
From an early age, Bella the dog (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard) can hardly be separated from her master, young medical student Lucas (Jonah Hauer-King). Although she likes to chew on shoes and regularly causes chaos with her playful and curious nature, Bella has long since become part of the family. But due to an unfortunate coincidence, she is separated from Lucas one day.
Left to her own devices, Bella tries to find her way back to her family. More than 600 kilometres of cold and dangerous wilderness stand between her and Lucas. In the middle of Colorado, Bella not only has to think up some tricks to find food. She also encounters dangerous animals in the wilderness. On her way, Bella also repeatedly meets people whose fate is changed forever by the encounter.
