A24 has finally released the official trailer for When You Finish Saving the World, Jesse Eisenberg’s upcoming directorial debut starring Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard. The coming-of-age dramedy is scheduled to make its debut in theaters on January 20, 2023.
The trailer highlights the estranged relationship between an uptight mother Evelyn and her teenaged son Ziggy, who have seemingly lost the connection they’ve once shared together. Because of this, they try to fill out this gap by shifting their attention to other people.
When You Finish Saving the World is written and directed by Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg, based on his 2020 Audible Original audio drama. The film stars Julianne Moore (The Kids Are All Right) as Evelyn Katz, Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) as Ziggy Katz, Jay O. Sanders (Revolutionary Road) as Roger Katz, Alisha Boe (Do Revenge) as Lila, Billy Bryk as Kyle, and Eleonore Hendricks (Heaven Knows What) as Angie.
