A Christmas Story Christmas: Ralphie from the Christmas classic “A Christmas Story” is now a family man himself facing the stress of organising the perfect Christmas
Plot and background
In “A Christmas Story Christmas – Quietly Trickling Stress”, the now adult Ralphie Parker returns to his parents’ house on Cleveland Street, where he spent many dreamy Christmas holidays as a little boy. In order to be able to give his two children as magical a Christmas as he experienced as a child, Ralphie has to make greater efforts than expected, especially as his late father leaves a big gap. So Ralphie must finally learn to come to terms with his father’s death and at the same time put together a successful Christmas. But luckily he is reunited with his childhood friends and has a loving family to back him up.
“A Christmas Story Christmas – Leise rieselt der Stress” – Cast, background, cinema release
Director Clay Kaytis (“The Ice Queen: Completely Undead”) brings a new chapter in the life of the popular title character Ralphie Parker to the big screen with “A Christmas Story Christmas – Quietly Trickles the Stress”. After the Christmas classic “Merry Christmas” (1983), he now learns a few years later what it means to be the head of the family responsible for Christmas. This makes him appreciate the efforts of his late father much more. As in the first part, actor Peter Billingsley, almost forty years later, once again slips into the role of Ralphie Parker. At his side is Erin Hayes (“Bill & Ted Save the Universe”) as Ralphie’s wife Sandy Parker. The Parkers’ offspring are embodied by River Drosche and Julianna Layne, and Julie Hagerty (“Marriage story”) plays Ralphie’s widowed mother.
“A Christmas Story Christmas – Leise rieselt der Stress” can be seen in German cinemas from 8 December 2022.
