The 2020 release of “Knives Out – Murder is Family Business” is the best murder-mystery cinema in the classic Agatha Christie tradition. It was inevitable that the charming whodunit flick would get a sequel, after all, Rian Johnson’s crime thriller grossed almost eight times its production budget and was also critically acclaimed.
With “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”, the hotly anticipated sequel will be released on Netflix on 23 December 2022. The film has already received a limited theatrical release. Once again, ex-James Bond actor Daniel Craig is on board, who also has some mysterious secrets to uncover in the sequel as the quirky chief investigator Benoit Blanc.

Daniel Craig does not come alone, of course: the hallmark of the “Knives Out” films is also the illustrious cast. For part 2, no (further) stars and familiar figures from the first part return, instead there are plenty of new faces to discover in the sequel. Hollywood celebrities such as Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Ethan Hawke, Janelle Monáe, Jessica Henwick, Kate Hudson, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr. and Madelyn Cline provide a showcase of stars in “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”.
We certainly enjoyed part 2 of this crime thriller. IS ALL ABOUT.
The ingenious tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites a select group of chosen people to his luxury estate on a private Greek island, as he does every year. Besides politician Claire Debella (Kathryn Hahn), scientist Lionel Touissant (Leslie Odom Jr.), influencer Duke Cody (Dave Bautista) and his girlfriend Whiskey (Madelyn Cline), and fashion it-girl Birdie Jay (Kate Hudson) and her assistant Peg (Jessica Henwick) are also part of the party.
But two unexpected guests also join this prominent troupe: Andi Brand (Janelle Monáe), who was recently and very ugly forced out of the joint company by Miles, and the famous master detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig). It seems that Miles intends to stage a crime play this year, for which he has spared neither expense nor effort. But the staging suddenly turns into bitter seriousness when there really is a dead body…
