The 2020 release of “Knives Out – Murder is Family Business” is the best murder-mystery cinema in the classic Agatha Christie tradition. It was inevitable that the charming whodunit flick would get a sequel, after all, Rian Johnson’s crime thriller grossed almost eight times its production budget and was also critically acclaimed.

With “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”, the hotly anticipated sequel will be released on Netflix on 23 December 2022. The film has already received a limited theatrical release. Once again, ex-James Bond actor Daniel Craig is on board, who also has some mysterious secrets to uncover in the sequel as the quirky chief investigator Benoit Blanc.

Daniel Craig does not come alone, of course: the hallmark of the “Knives Out” films is also the illustrious cast. For part 2, no (further) stars and familiar figures from the first part return, instead there are plenty of new faces to discover in the sequel. The ingenious tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites a select group of chosen people to his luxury estate on a private Greek island, as he does every year.
