“The Bear: King Of The Kitchen” is one of the absolute series highlights of last year. After a second season was confirmed quite a while ago, it is now also clear when we can expect it.
With “The Bear: King Of The Kitchen” we were once again able to look forward to a real series plank in the last third of 2022. The Hulu format, which started on Disney+ in this country, dealt with the young star chef Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), who returns to his hometown Chicago after his brother’s suicide to continue running his sandwich shop. In the process, he is confronted not only with personal traumas, but also with unruly kitchen staff and the everyday cruelty of a small business owner.
In the series annual ranking of FILMSTARTS and Moviepilot, “The Bear” secured an excellent third place. And even beyond that, the series was almost universally acclaimed, which is why Jeremy Allen White was recently honoured at the Golden Globes.
The question that inevitably arose in recent months was, of course, when will “The Bear” finally continue? Because a second season was already confirmed in July 2022. There is now an answer to that too: the new 10 episodes are finally to be released at the beginning of summer 2023.
WHEN WILL “THE BEAR” SEASON 2 BE RELEASED IN GERMANY?
What this means for the German start date is hard to say. Since no exact start date is known yet, only speculations are possible at this point. Season 1 only appeared in Germany on Disney+ four months after the US premiere on Hulu. This could also be the case for season 2, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be. It is also possible, or very conceivable, that “The Bear” will also be released here at the beginning of summer. However, nothing is certain at this point.
But there is another good thing about today’s news, because the second season is expanding! While Season 1 comprised eight episodes, Season 2 will have ten. Christopher Storer, creator and executive producer of “The Bear”, has been rather vague with Deadline about the content of the new season. In any case, we can expect Carmy and his colleagues to be pushed to the limits once again. But that is exactly what makes “The Bear” such an intense viewing experience.
