Star Wars: First trailer for The Mandalorian season 3 – when are they coming?

by Dennis

The 3rd season of the Star Wars series The Mandalorian is still a bit of a wait. But now there is a first teaser trailer for the new Grogu adventures.

Grogu aka Baby Yoda is back and already the controversially received Star Wars series Obi-Wan and Boba Fett are forgotten. Lucasfilm has released the first teaser for the Star Wars series The Mandalorian at D23. You won’t find any big surprises in it, the 1 minute and 50 seconds long clip promises the usual mix of space adventures and Mando mythology. And of course a lot of sweet Grogu content.

When is The Mandalorian season 3 coming to Disney+?

The Mandalorian season 3 isn’t coming to the Disney+ streaming service until 2023, probably during the first 3 months. Before then, you can look forward to Andor. The prequel series to the blockbuster success Rogue One launches on September 21.

What is the plot of The Mandalorian season 3?

Away from cute baby Yoda scenes, The Mandalorian season 3 should have a few to offer. After all, the previous round ended with an unresolved conflict: Din Djarin is now in possession of the coveted Darksword and could thus lay claim to the throne of Mandalore.

The problem: Bo-Katan Kryze is also after the powerful weapon. When Din wants to hand it over to her, she refuses. According to tradition, the dark sword must be won in battle. It is exciting that the rebellious Bo-Katan, of all people, clings so tightly to a tradition, although it is otherwise Din who insists on it.

Who is in the cast of The Mandalorian season 3?

An official cast list has not yet been confirmed. However, it is very likely that the following three names will definitely be back:

  • Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin
  • Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze
  • Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon

In addition, the return of Carl Weathers as Greef Karga and other familiar faces from the Mando family bids farewell. Temuera Morrison, who embodies Boba Fett, is among them, as is Fennec Shand actress Ming-Na Wen. After the post-credit scene of The Book of Boba Fett, we can also assume that Timothy Olyphant is back on the starting line as Cobb Vanth.
