ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Wisteria trailer for the upcoming France-made ‘baguette Western’ from Samuel Jacob Attias. The film is set to have its world premiere at the Brooklyn Film Festival on June 10.
What is Wisteria about?
“In the plains of Evansville, Wyoming, young homesteader Jacob, is building a life for himself for his young wife and soon to arrive, child, until tragedy intervenes,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “A year later, now alone, the stoic farmer has a face off with an Indian taking water from his well, and in the tense exchange, ends up shooting and killing him, leaving Jacob unable to forgive himself.
“In a hostile environment where law and order are set by a cold-hearted Marshall, Jacob struggles to reconcile his place in his hard land. Then fate arrives in the person of Wisteria, a wounded Blackfoot woman. As Jacob nurses her back to health, there might now be a chance for him to finally find peace again.”

Wisteria was written and directed by Samuel Jacob Attias and produced by Laurence Le Rolland. It stars Jasen Wade, Violeta Deblieck, and Michael Flynn and has a total runtime of 57 minutes.
