The Marvel sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse takes the multiverse concept to the extreme. As it turns out, there are several different versions of the film playing in theatres.
The multiverse has a firm grip on Marvel and DC. From Spider-Man: No Way Home to The Flash, many superhero stories are currently exploring other dimensions and alternate timelines. The most exciting multiverse film to date is the animated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse from Sony.
The sequel to Spider-Man: A New Universe has been in German cinemas since the beginning of June. Countless versions of the friendly spider from the neighbourhood crawl through the neighbourhood in worlds designed with great attention to detail. As it now turns out, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse goes one step further.
Marvel sequel: Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse hits theatres in two different versions
Some Marvel fans who have seen the film several times in theatres have noticed that two different versions of the sequel exist. Spider-Man: Across the Universe thus takes the multiverse concept to a new meta-level. This was confirmed by Andrew Leviton, who was involved in editing the film:

Don’t worry! No matter which version you watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in the cinema: The main plot of the film is the same. Rather, the examples listed show that the creative minds behind the project changed small details so that the versions differed more in nuances.
