Netflix is ringing in the Halloween season and will soon be bringing us a horror series about one of the most famous and gruesome serial killers in history. For his new show, American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy is once again relying on the talents of Marvel star Evan Peters, who has portrayed terrifying and psychotic killers on several occasions in the cult anthology. Now he becomes Jeffrey Dahmer.
Dahmer – Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer is the unnecessarily complicated title of the 10-episode serial killer biopic. Now Netflix has finally released the first trailer, in which Evan Peters as profiled horror monster Dahmer is guaranteed to send a cold shiver down your spine.

The true crime horror series Dahmer was developed by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, who in the past have collaborated on horror-comedy Scream Queens and Netflix series The Politician, Hollywood, Ratched and Halston, among others.

The story of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer is told from the point of view of his victims. Between the years 1978 and 1991, Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, murdered a total of 17 young men and was particularly cruel about it. Sexual abuse, mutilation, cannibalism and necrophilia were part of his modus operandi.
In 10 episodes, the Dahmer series will take a particularly tense and harrowing look not only at the killer’s deeds, but above all at the incompetence of the police, who could have stopped his deeds long before they happened. The cast includes Evan Peters, Richard Jenkins (The Shape of Water), Niecy Nash (Scream Queens) and Colin Ford (Under the Dome), among others.
Jeffrey Dahmer was finally caught in 1991 when his murder spree escalated. He was unable to serve his prison sentence (16 life sentences). At the age of 34, he was beaten to death in prison.
When will the series Dahmer start on Netflix?
The streaming giants are going from strength to strength. After the first trailer was released, the start of Dahmer – Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer is already imminent. All 10 episodes of the true crime thriller will land on Netflix’s subscription on 21 September 2022.

Those who want to find out even more about Jeffrey Dahmer don’t have to wait long. On 7 October, Netflix will release the true crime documentary Jeffrey Dahmer: Self-Portrait of a Serial Killer. This presents audio recordings on which the killer himself describes his gruesome deeds.
