Plot and background
Greta (Caroline Peters) is a real whirlwind who doesn’t mince words and takes life by the scruff of the neck. Alexander (Burghart Klaußner), on the other hand, is completely the opposite: introverted, orderly, always mindful of his rhythm. When the two meet at a bus stop, they have no idea that their initially fleeting encounter will soon turn into something more.
School secretary Greta suddenly kisses Metzger Alexander on the neck – the beginning of an unreal yet attractive relationship between the two. They quickly question their previous lives: as a notorious liar and single mother who can no longer stand loneliness on the one hand, and as a music lover who never showed the courage to give a great love a chance on the other.
“The uncertainty relation of love” – background, cast, theatrical release
Based on the 2015 play “Heisenberg” by Simon Stephens, “The Uncertainty Principle of Love” is an upbeat romantic comedy – made in Germany. Here, the title is chosen so that it refers to the physical theory of Werner Heisenberg: The Uncertainty Principle.
The romantic comedy is directed by Lars Kraume (“Der Staat gegen Fritz Bauer”), who wrote the screenplay together with Dorothee Schön (“Charité”). Caroline Peters (“Der Vorname”) and Burghard Klaußner (“Brecht”), who brought the play to the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus stage together in its German premiere in 2016, are in the leading roles. Filming took place primarily in Berlin.
The world premiere of “Die Unschärferelation der Liebe” took place as part of the 40th Munich Film Festival, and just one week later the film will be released regularly in cinemas from June 29, 2023, and has been given FSK clearance from the age of 6.
