After “Ahsoka”, you’ll have to watch these three far-too-unknown “Star Wars” movies.

The end of “Ahsoka” continues to cause discussion among “Star Wars” fans. In particular, the statues that Baylan Skroll is standing on are causing excitement among some and wonder among others. They will become very important for “Star Wars”…

Many “Star Wars” fans are excited that with the finale of “Ahsoka”, the Family of One aka The Force Gods of Mortis are now part of the live action series. Those who haven’t seen the animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and “Star Wars Rebels” (and that’s quite a lot of franchise fans), on the other hand, will wonder what these statues are.

If you are in the second camp, you should fill this gap very quickly. Because we are convinced that with the end of “Ahsoka” this family will play a very, very important role for the future of “Star Wars”. Fortunately, this gap is very easy to fill – with three episodes from “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” that you should definitely watch.

“THE CLONE WARS”: 3.15 – 3.17 STREAM – EVEN WITHOUT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE

Even if you’re not that interested in the animated series, it’s worth investing around an hour (without credits, the episodes go around 20 minutes each). The three-parter takes place in the 3rd season of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”. It includes episodes 15 (“Guardians of the Force”), 16 (“The Altar of Mortis”) and 17 (“Forgotten Future”). The episodes can be streamed on Disney+ and you can understand them without having seen any other episode of “The Clone Wars”.

When a distress signal is sent with a 2,000-year-old Jedi code, Obi-Wan, Anakin and Ahsoka set out to investigate its origin at the beginning of this episode trilogy. In the process, they come across a mystical place (which Obi-Wan first wonders is even in their own galaxy) and the Family of One.

If you watch the episodes, you will learn new things about the Force that should play a role in the future of “Star Wars”. Most importantly, you will know who is behind the three statues at the end of “Ahsoka”. There we saw the son on the right who embodies the dark side of the Force. Why the statue of the daughter representing the light side of the Force is almost completely destroyed, you will also guess after the three episodes. The trio also includes the father, who is always trying to restore balance.

With the episodes there are even hints what Baylan might be looking for and what might be hidden behind the orange light the statue of the father points to at the end of “Ahsoka”. It could also be very important for the future of “Star Wars” that Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) herself has a very special connection to the Family of One – especially to the daughter.

Because many “Star Wars” fans skip the animated series, these episodes are too unknown. If you enjoyed “Ahsoka” and are curious to see what happens next in the world of “Star Wars”, then by all means close this gap. All it takes is three episodes, each around 25 minutes long (even around 20 minutes short without credits).
