MGM has dropped the first-look video for George Clooney’s forthcoming film adaptation of The Boys in the Boat, based on Daniel James Brown’s 2013’s novel of the same name.
The featurette features Clooney discussing the theme and premise of the sports period drama, which serves as the Oscar winner’s latest directorial effort following 2021’s The Tender Bar. It also provides the first Boys in the Boat footage, highlighting the determination of a college rowing team consisting of working class student athletes who were able to defy everyone’s expectations.
